Minister’s Bio
Anthony Saturno has served as pastor of St. James since the fall of 2021, where he is helping to guide the church through a hopeful transformation—becoming a more inclusive, authentic, and Christ-centered community. He holds a Master of Divinity and a Master of Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, as well as a Master’s in Cultural Anthropology from Florida Atlantic University. His preaching reflects his deep love of Scripture, his background in counseling and culture, and his firm belief that faith is strengthened not by having all the answers, but by being more curious than certain.
Anthony and his wife Sarah, a gifted photographer with a heart for hospitality, live in Carlisle with their three sons: Rilo, Rocco, and Vito. Sarah’s heart beats for radical welcome, especially for those who’ve been hurt by the church or made to feel they don’t belong. Her hope is that St. James becomes a space where no one has to leave parts of themselves at the door—and where beauty, mess, and mystery can live together in faith. Their home is often full of laughter, Legos, shared meals, and meaningful conversation. Together, they are passionate about creating space for belonging, both inside and outside the church walls.
When he’s not pastoring, Anthony loves hiking, paddleboarding, and exploring the Appalachian Trail. At his core, he’s a listener, a question-asker, and someone who finds joy in walking alongside others through all seasons of life.
