“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him”. (Col. 3:16-17)

Here at St. James, we offer a multi-genre musical experience at every service.  In the context of a single service, one will here a combination of traditional hymns, “jazzed up” hymns, choral anthems, praise/worship music, and a whole bunch more.  Basically, we make music based on what God puts on our hearts for each service.  As the song lyric goes, “Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place!”  This describes the goal of the music program at St. James – to bring the presence of the Lord through musical worship to prepare our hearts and minds to receive the message.
